Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Agreement to terms

By using SalePilot ("the Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your location, to make a purchase or agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or an organization.

What SalePilot is

SalePilot is a point-of-sale tool for garage sales, fundraisers, vendor markets, and similar events. It helps you track inventory, checkout, and reporting across multiple devices. SalePilot is not a payment processor: cash handling happens in person, and digital payments (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle) happen directly between buyer and seller through those services' own apps. We are not a party to those payment transactions and are not responsible for them.

Your responsibilities

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of the items, prices, and seller information you enter.
  • You're responsible for complying with any local laws or permit requirements for the type of sale you're running (e.g. sales tax, vendor permits, fundraising regulations).
  • You're responsible for keeping your sale's invite code reasonably private, sharing it grants access to your sale's data.
  • You won't use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or to sell prohibited items.

Purchases and unlocks

SalePilot offers three one-time, non-subscription purchases: Cashier, Cashier + Payments, and Full Unlock. Each is a one-time purchase, not a recurring charge. An unlock applies to the specific sale it was purchased for and is automatically available to everyone who joins that sale using its invite code, no separate purchase is required per device or per person helping with the same sale.

Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms, payment methods, and refund policies. We don't process payments, store payment card details, or issue refunds directly, refund requests should go through Apple or Google.

We may, at our discretion, issue promotional or complimentary access codes (for example, to beta testers or reviewers). These are provided as-is and may be modified or revoked at any time.

Service availability

The Service depends on an internet connection for syncing and requires our backend infrastructure to be operational. We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SalePilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost sales, lost data, or disputes with buyers or other sellers using your sale.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever these terms change.
